Mit Peppermint OS Ice bringt das Peppermint-OS-Team eine weitere Variante der flinken Linux Distribution heraus. Statt Mozillas Firefox wurde allerdings Chromium von Google eingesetzt.

Als Desktop wird das schnelle Lightweight X Desktop Environment (LXDE) eingesetzt.

Pepermint OS Ice basiert wie sein Mozilla Pendant auf Linux Mint 9 und auf Ubuntu 10.04 in der LXDE Variante Lubuntu.
