Ab sofort werde Microsofts Unified Communication Products unter der Marke Lync zusammengefasst.
Auch eine neue Ausgabe dieser Anwendung liegt seit heute als Release Candidate vor.

Die neuen Namen lauten jeweils wie folgt: Lync Server, Lync Online und Lync 2010, hinzu kommt noch eine Lync Web App. Das Kommunikationspaket verfügt über eine Anbindung zu Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint und Exchange.
